Please pray for Meadow the Hen 🙏🏻
I found out when cleaning out the goat nighttime areas yesterday, that my poor Meadow has “sour crop!” This is a yeast infection in the crop where they digest their food. 😞
Please pray for her as I am trying to nurture her back to health. She is my favorite Hen, my first Hen ever, and my lap chicken, and she is just the sweetest thing! ❤️
She has to be on a special diet of plain Greek yogurt, and apple cider vinegar water, and probiotics for now, separated from her fellow hens and Roos.
Since I caught it earlier, I’m trusting/praying she will recover nicely. But, please pray, dear blog readers, as she is a very special pet and hen for me! 🙏🏻 Thank you! ❤️🙏🏻

DeleteThat’s sad. I will pray for her healing. My Aunt had a chicken with the same thing, but it definitely wasn’t a lap chicken, that’s for sure! She had a hard time just catching her. But I think the chicken ended up making it. (Not sure what her protocol was though.)
ReplyDeleteAwww. You have to daily handle your chickens for them to be more tame. 🙂 Our chickens are more like pets than livestock, so they get lots of spoilage and love! Haha. ☺️Thank you for the prayers, Selah! It means a lot!
