Happy Father’s Day! 2023

Happy Father’s Day to my Dad! ❤️

Father’s Day: a day to hold in remembrance our fathers and show our gratitude

And what better way to show honour to one’s Dad than on Father’s Day!
So if you don’t mind, or even if you do ;) , I’m going to give some honour to whom honour’s due.

But first of all, let’s look for a moment, at the a role of a father in the Bible, and what a godly father looks like and should be :

1) A Father must first be saved, walking with God in righteousness, and living a life that is holy and  just before the Lord. Paving the way for their children to walk in their steps. So, their children can follow their example and walk in their father’s footsteps.
You will notice when reading 1rst and 2 Kings, the kings that did wickedly usually had sons that rose up to the throne who did wickedly in like manner. That’s why it’s very important for fathers to be a good role model for their children, and someone their children can look up to, and mimic.

2) A godly Father should be the spiritual strength of the family, the head over his wife and children. (SEE Eph. 5:23, Titus 1:6) The Lord was so angry/wroth with Eli the Prophet, because he restrained not his sons when they did vile and wicked things that God slew all three of them! (SEE 1 Samuel 2, 3, 4)

3)
A Father, as the patriarch and head of his home, should take initiative.
Moses was nearly struck dead by God, because he didn’t circumcise his son. But his life
was spared, and God’s anger  was appeased when Moses’ wife, Zipporah, stepped up and did the circumcising of their son. (SEE Exodus 4:24-26) It is important for fathers to take initiative in their homes (leading in bible studies, studying doctrine, charging their children etc.), or it leaves it up to the wife to take initiative.  This is dangerous, as it forces the woman to take the position of leadership, and then gives place to the jezebel spirit. (Similar- is the story of Deborah in Judges 4, who, having no man to rise up to the position of being judge over Israel, she herself then arose to the position.)

4) A Father should train up his children in the way they should go, and bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. (SEE Prov. 22:6, Eph. 6:4) God gives the promise in Proverbs 22:6 (KJB) “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
5) A Father should be diligently teaching the Word of God to his children continually:
Deuteronomy 6:6-9  (KJB)

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

6) A Father should chasten his children when needed; just as our Heavenly Father chastens His children when need be. (SEE Heb. 12:9-11, Prov. 19:18)
7) A Father’s heart should be toward his children and his children’s to his (SEE Malachi 4:6)

of course, you could go on and on of what a godly father looks like and should be in the Bible. But sadly, these days, a Dad like this is hard to come across…..a rare jewel I’m blessed/thankful to have as my very own Father! <3
So, back to my Dad……
Proverbs 27:2 says, “Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth;….” So, here we go….

I am sooo thankful and blessed to have a Dad who has brought me into this world, raising me up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, training me in the way I should go- so that I am now adopted by my Heavenly Father  and am made a child of the Living King!
I am thankful/blessed for my Dad’s leadership and initiative in standing in the gap, leading his family as the patriarch of his home.

I am beyond blessed for the 26 years I have had of bible training from my dad, and the wisdom and doctrine he has taught me.
Not only have I received many years of spiritual wisdom, knowledge, and instruction, but also, he has taught me how to Mow grass, (and the many experience/learning I received in my Dad’s lawn care business ); how to do dry wall, remodeling, building a chicken coop/run, changing brakes and tires on our truck, etc. etc. So much wisdom I’m thankful/blessed to have learned from my Father!

I’m also thankful for a father who has guarded us, and taught us to keep ourselves pure, and faithful to our future spouses.  Whereas most Dads (Like Lot who offered his two virgin daughters), offer their daughters to whoremongering, porn watching, monsters- in- the- making guys, who steal their daughter’s virginity, and leave them with a shattered heart, and a haunted  past full of remorse and regrets.
I’m also thankful/blessed to have a father who DAILY leads us into Bible studies, daily exhorting us, and encouraging us to exhort others as well.

There are many fond memories I have of my Dad….
Like when my Mom was sick for a month, and Dad selflessly took off time from work to take care of Mom and us children when we were too young to care for ourselves.  And seeing we were too young to cook, Dad made all the meals. (And did I mention-he can cook like a chef?!) I remember he even made stuff-crust pizza from scratch!

And like how my Dad would skate board growing up, and later taught me and my twin how to long board. :)
Or even, how my Dad likes to give us more practical gifts, like a pink tool box he gave me and my twin sister for our 20th b-day charge! ;) And there is so much more I could say about my Dad…like his yearly b-day charges he gives  us, the sleepless nights he spends praying for us etc. etc.

But I know this has been long, so I will end with this:

"Thank you, dear Heavenly Father, for my wonderful, godly  father you have graciously given me.’’

Thank you, Dad, for being my godly father, teacher, friend, someone I can come to for counsel, prayer, and questions, etc. Thank you for encouraging our gifts/talents. Thank you, for guarding me both spiritually and physically. Thank you, for standing in the gap, and not being like the Dads we see today. Thank you for all the years of wisdom and training. Happy Father’s Day, to the greatest Dad I know!!!  (Aside from our Heavenly Father of course ;) )
I love you SOOOOO much!!!  <3 <3 Yours, and His forever,
                                          Hannah Elisabeth <3

  2. My Dearest Daughters,

With a heart brimming with the utmost joy and gratitude, I pen this note unto you, my cherished damsels. Verily, Jesus Christ, preceding your mother, and then you, art the wellspring of my deepest blessings, and I esteem you above all else in my small circle (yet, the majority counting unfallen angels, citizens of heaven, and the remnant scattered abroad). Being that ye are all one, I shall refer unto you as the singular "thee" oft if thou canst forbear thy father's deep love for the King's (yea, Queen Elizabeth I) English. Thy very presence hath bestowed upon this lowly patriarch, made of dust and ashes, an abundant measure of joy, for thou dost possess extraordinary qualities that radiate with resplendence. Thy wit, charm, elegance, and grace, intertwined with thy talents in music, dance, and art, have indeed adorned my life.

Yet, beyond these terrestrial endowments, I am compelled to remind thee of a greater verity. The Almighty Himself doth derive immense delight in the labour thou dost undertake for His Kingdom. Thy unwavering dedication to follow the teachings imparted by thy father, mother, and the humble congregation of our church hath not escaped the notice of our Heavenly Father, holy angels, heavenly witnesses, and frenemies from afar. In thy affirmations regarding my character, I discern a reflection of the divine presence that guideth me toward the True North, the Almighty God, and thusly grant all glory northward with bowed head and knee.

Time would fail me to express, my cherished daughters, that by thy very existence, granted unto me by the benevolent hand of God, I have become a more excellent father. The love I bear for each of you transcends all explanation, and if it be the Lord's will to delay His MIGHTY RETURN, I beseech Him to place thee under the care of a righteous, faithful, man (patriarch). This man, handpicked by the Lord Himself, shall lead, guide, and bless his family on a daily basis. Moreover, he shall unwaveringly uphold the timeless truths of the King James Bible—the sacred Word of God and the God of the Word. Til then, let us be about our Father's business, occupying til He come, with fervent charity ablaze, full of oil of the Holy Ghost, battling the spiritual foes relentlessly, and praying for all intensely.

With profound sincerity and the deepest wellspring of love,

    Thy Ever-Doting Earthly father, -r
